At the Rockport Police Department, we hold the "public trust" very sacred. This trust is at the heart of our support and must be ensured if we are to perform our mission to the "City of Rockport" to the fullest. Public trust can only exist when we, as the Police Department in Rockport, perform our duties with fairness, equity, professionalism, and vigor. Fundamental to this is the process by which we hire our officers. While the ability to perform job tasks is of substantial importance, we are also intent on recruiting candidates possessing the character necessary to uphold the highest standards of integrity.
